Annual Addiction Awareness Vigil
This outdoor event features live music, tributes, recovery testimonials, resources, and a candlelight vigil led by local faith community leaders. Live music starts at 6 pm, with testimonials and candle lighting starting at 7pm. Rain date: Wednesday, September 2.
6 South Avenue, New Canaan. Town parking available at both Morse Court and Park Street lots.
The Vigil was started in tribute to all the people who died too soon because of the addiction epidemic, including its Founder Paul’s son Evan. The event has become a celebration of recovery, with courageous speakers sharing stories of redemption and hope. Faith community leaders join to lead all of us in a candle lighting ceremony. New Canaan Parent Support Group believe families are a powerful part of the recovery process. It supports parents and caregivers walking alongside loved ones facing substance use and mental health challenges. Through weekly meetings, educational events, and community outreach, we offer connection, compassion, and a safe place to share the journey.
