May 20: The Feast of Pentecost
The sacrament of Holy Baptism will be celebrated during the 10AM Eucharist. If you are interested in being baptized or having your child baptized, please let us know by calling the Church Office at 203.966.4515. There will be a pre-baptismal class on Saturday, May 19 at 10AM in the sanctuary for parents, godparents (if available), and children who are old enough to answer for themselves.
Can You Speak Another Language? You are invited to stand in your pew and read the lesson (Acts 2:5-12) in another language while the Lector reads the lesson in English. The reading from the Acts of the Apostles tells of the disciple’s speaking in tongues and those in the street hearing it in their own language. Hearing all the languages at the same time will give us a powerful sense of that first Pentecost. Can you help? Please let us know what language you will be speaking so we can plan for the greatest variety. For translations or to sign up through Realm, please go to www.stmarksnewcanaan.org/godeeper/Pentecost.
We will also welcome new members to our congregation that day. If you are interested in being welcomed, please contact Rob Schwartz at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Newcomer Potluck 6-8PM: The Newcomer Committee will host a potluck dinner for newcomers and new members at the Rectory (89 Logan Road), beginning at 6PM. This is a great place to meet other new members and newcomers while enjoying a casual early dinner. Kids are welcome! Please bring a casserole, salad, or dessert, and plan for a fun evening. Kindly RSVP to the Church Office at email@example.com.

Center for Ministry
Thanks to the hard work of the Property Committee and our wonderful architect, engineering, and project management partners, we have an exciting plan for the proposed Center for Ministry addition. We invite you to explore the information provided and be in touch to ask questions and share your thoughts. We believe this plan is the right response to the needs of the aging and inefficient Church House, but it will take your financial support to become a reality. Click here for more information.
