DESCRIPTION:The Parish Picnic is Sunday\, September 7\, at 11:15AM in the courtyard\, between the Church and Morrill Hall. ALL are welcome. Spread the word! And please wear your nametag to help us become friends. If you don’t have one\, we can make one for you. We’ll provide food for the grilling (burgers and hot dogs) and green salads will also be provided. We welcome your fork-friendly\, ready-to-serve sides and desserts to share. \n  \nHelping hands are needed to set up and break down tables and chairs\, and clean-up after the picnic.  Sign up online for a task or contact the Church Office at churchoffice@stmarksnewcanaan.org to sign up to help. This is a wonderful opportunity to get to know fellow parishioners! \n

SUMMARY:Gospel Garden Volunteer Orientation
DESCRIPTION:All are invited to a Gospel Garden Volunteer Orientation at the Garden\, led by our expert gardener Bob Bouton. Bob will walk us through how the garden works so that everyone feels comfortable joining in this season and next. All experience levels are welcome. Please bring a water bottle and\, if you have them\, work gloves; tools will be provided. \nEach year the Gospel Garden produces organic vegetables to share with our neighbors through the New Canaan Food Pantry and Person to Person in Darien. This ministry is a hands-on way of loving our neighbors through the gift of fresh\, healthy food. \nRegistration is encouraged but not required. Sign up!

DESCRIPTION:All children in Godly Play\, Holy Moly and Meet in the Middle are invited to gather in Morrill Hall during regular church school time on September 14. \nWe’ll have some fun musical exercises and learn a song from Director of Music Ministries\, Ned Tipton\, assisted by members of Choristers\, Joyful Noyze and the MnM class.  Then we’ll go into church and sing the Offertory Anthem from the Altar steps. \nSee you around the piano!

Projects this year include: \n\nBeach clean-up\nBuilding blessing bags for shelters\nRestoring a historic cemetery\nTurning confiscated guns into garden tools\nMaking and serving food for the hungry\n\n\nWhen: Sunday\, September 21\, 12:00–4:00 PM\nWhere: St. John Vianney Church\, West Haven\nTravel: A group will leave from St. Mark’s after the 10:00 AM service (around 11:00).
