Jr. and Sr. High Youth Groups
A New Jr. High Youth Group! Sundays at 4:00 p.m.
Calling all 7th & 8th Graders
Total-Chaos-in-the-Name-of-the Lord-Amen is a brand-new youth ministry at St. Mark’s which focuses on the particular interests of 7th and 8th graders. Accordingly, this group seeks to nurture Christian bonds of peace (Ephesians 4) by having FUN in a safe, non-competitive, and affirming setting. Total-Chaos-in-the-Name-of-the Lord-Amen meets weekly on Sunday nights for games, service projects, prayer, and meal.
We will meet at 4pm on Sundays, and the young people are encouraged to stay for the 5pm Eucharist and 5:30 Snack Supper.
Confirmation Classes will not be offered to 7th graders this fall. Starting in the spring of 2011, St. Mark’s will begin offering Confirmation classes as a component of the Sr. High Youth Program. These classes will be available to high school juniors and any seniors who did not elect Confirmation in the Junior year. Sr. High Youth Group
Sundays: Supper at 5:30 p.m., Youth Group 6:00-7:00 p.m.
The Sr. High Youth Group is integral to the mission and ministry of St. Mark’s Church. The aim of the Sr. High youth program is to be a safe, affirming community of young people who regularly dedicate themselves to Jesus Christ and to one another through liturgy and mission. Toward that end we play, pray, and eat together weekly. We also gather regularly to volunteer at the New Canaan Food Bank, the St. Mark’s Gospel Garden, and Habitat for Humanity. Additionally, the Sr. High Youth Group travels on mission trips, retreats, pilgrimages, and just-for-fun trips.

The New Sunday Evening Schedule:
4-5pm- Jr. High Youth Hour for all 7th and 8th graders
5pm- Informal Eucharist in the chapel
5:30-6pm Snack Supper in Morrill Hall
6-7pm- Sr. High Youth Hour for all 9th - 12th graders
6-7pm- 8th Grade Confirmation classes/ (Jan-May)
