Welcome From The Reverend Peter F. Walsh, Rector of St. Mark's
St. Mark’s Episcopal Church is a community that is seeking a deeper life in Christ, a more holy communion with one another and a greater love for the world. We are growing in Spirit, number and ministry as we pursue our business of making disciples who live to give for the love of God.
We gather for Sunday worship at 8am, 10am, and 5pm, using the sacred liturgies of the Book of Common Prayer. There is Bible Study or Adult Education at 9AM, Church School at 10AM, fellowship at 11AM and Youth Group at 5:30PM. Music is an important part of our communal spiritual life and we are pleased to host guest musicians. Such sounds are pleasing not only to us but to God.
We are a community of prayer and action. From the silence of Christian meditation to the wonderful mayhem of May Fair we seek to serve the community of New Canaan and beyond. We believe our calling is to not only to feed hungry souls with the grace of God, but by hosting the Food Bank, to feed hungry people with nutritious food for their bodies. We seek to serve head, heart and hand through the Lion’s Den Bookstore, the Gospel Garden, and many other ministries.
We invite you to help us help you on your journey. You can learn more about us by attending one of the Sunday liturgies, by taking one of the red information folders, filling out a welcome card found in the pews, or by being in touch with us by phone.
