Volunteering is the heart of May Fair!
Take a look at all the places that need you and contact the committee chairs to let them know you can help.
BAKED GOODS AND COFFEE: Judy Stephan, 966-1038. Showcase your best homemade cakes, pies, cookies, cupcakes and breads. Please label contents clearly. Drop off accepted starting Tuesday in the freezer in Morrill or day of May Fair! Coffee brewers and pourers needed during May Fair.
BOOKS, MUSIC AND MAGAZINES: Jonnie Wheeler, 966-9825. Hard cover and paperbacks, books on tape, music CDs, tapes, DVDs, records and special interest magazines sell the best.
CLEAN UP AND TAKE DOWN: Caroline Tucker, 972-7344 and Stuart Parker, 966-8725. Volunteers needed for take down and clean-up: White Elephant 3-5pm; Great Lawn 5-7pm; Pizza and Soda party. Families welcomed.
FOOD COURT: co-chairs - John Layng, 966-2587 and Dave Krueger, 801-9585. Overseers of all the food activities:
BBQ BRISKET/CHICKEN/HAMBURGERS/CORN: Dave Krueger, 801-9535, Barbecuers, boilers and baggers
CHICKEN CHICKS (Cashiers): Sara Walker, 966-4642: BBQ cashiers needed. Two hour shifts. (Note: excellent venue for spotting local celebrities!) Teens needed for food prep.
HOT DOGS: George deMenocal 966-8117. Help prepare and serve these May Fair favorites.
LEMONADE STAND: JoAnne and Bill Bowers, 966-2432. Original and frozen available. Teens welcomed.
PIZZA: Rick Pivirotto, 966-8686. Come help dish out the slices from Joe’s Pizzeria.
SODAS: Jon Fleming, 914-533-2946 and Clif McFeely, 972-0608. Help keep May Fair hydrated!
FACE PAINTING: Patti Chamberlin, 966-2484. Volunteers with a love of kids, warm smiles, and artistic talent or flair will find this pure fun!
FIRE TRUCK: Joe Kelly, 972-1368. Take a shift loading and unloading “Old Faithful.”
GAMES: Loretta and John Chappell, 966-0738. Families can volunteer together! We need a lot of people power here.
GREEN FAITH TENT: Jarvis Cromwell, 966-4348. Monitor recycling bins.
PARCEL CHECK: Eloise Killeffer, 966-3792. This free service is provided so people can securely leave their treasures while they enjoy the rest of the Fair. A great place to meet and greet. Flexible hours!
PLANT TENT: Sara Daniel, 966-9257, Nancy Kalal 972-6939 and Adriane Straus 966-3272. Volunteer to set up and arrange on Friday and/or sell on Saturday.
PRIZE TENT: Margot and Mark Thorsheim, 594-9004. What could be more fun than giving kids prizes?
SAND ART: Suzanne Ross, 972-2660. Volunteers needed to collect money and hand out supplies.
SECURITY: Pat Donovan, 966-9335. Need volunteers to augment our righteous squad, for 2-hour shifts of walking around, being seen, and helping lost kids. Suit up in our smart gold vests.
SET-UP: David Shea, 972-3092 and JP Lavielle, 762-7373. Muscles, trucks and SUVs need for the May 2-3 Moving Team and to help with set-up the entire week before the Fair. Skip the gym, and get a work out setting up May Fair!
STRAWBERRIES (fresh): Kathy Morley, 966-1763. Volunteers needed to sell and replenish supplies.
STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE: Susan Boston, 972-9225. Help bake on Friday or sell this Fair highlight on Saturday
TRANSPORTATION COORDINATORS: Meg and Guy Brossy, 966-4776. Call for your parking passes or stop by office.
TICKET BOOTHS: Brian Hollstein, 966-0633. Volunteers needed for the Ride Booths.
TREASURY: Bruce Taylor, 761-8853 and Ted Beyer, 831-0210. Money counters and runners needed to collect money from cashiers.
