Welcome to the Lion’s Den! We feature a unique selection of gifts and books intended to nurture and develop faith and enhance daily life. You’ll find seasonal items, candles, literature, books on prayer and religious history, sacred music, icons, jewelry, and more. Browse through our shelves for inspirational items, whether you’re looking for a special card for any occasion, or a great gift for a baby shower or birthday.
A church bookstore became a reality for St. Mark’s when an anonymous donor funded the transformation of a large storage area into a retail establishment and in September 2006, The Lion’s Den was born. In addition to hosting numerous special events coinciding with the church calendar, the store in its first year presented a number of book/author events including The St. John’s Bible, the first hand-written and hand-illuminated bible since the Middle Ages, and author and cartoonist Cuyler Black for a signing of his book: What’s That Funny Look On Your Faith?
Stop by our Wednesday Morning Coffee House (9-1pm) where good conversation is always brewing. Treats and gourmet coffees will delight as you catch up with friends or pore over a new release.
