The Lion's Den Book and Gift Store

Thank you for visiting our web page!  At The Den, you’ll find a unique selection of gifts and books intended to nurture and to develop faith as well as enhance daily life. We carry seasonal items, candles, literature, books on religious history, sacred music, icons, jewelry and more.  Browse through our shelves for inspirational items, whether you’re looking for a card for a special occasion or a great gift for a baby shower or birthday – you’ll be certain to find what you need at The Den.

Our church store became a reality for St. Mark’s when an anonymous donor funded the transformation of a large storage area into a retail establishment and in September, 2006, The Lion’s Den was born.

In addition to hosting numerous special events coinciding with our church calendar, the store each year offers its popular Winter Author Series.  The Den has been blessed with visits from such speakers and writers as Joan Chittister, one of the most celebrated spiritual writers of our time, children’s author Cuyler Black – author of What’s That Funny Look on Your Faith?  And Dr. Joel Hoffman, a linguistics and translation expert, on the publication of his new book And God Said: How Translations Conceal the Bible’s Original Meaning.

The Den serves as spiritual outreach from St. Mark’s to the larger community, providing resources to individuals and worshiping communities in Fairfield County.  Staffed by volunteers the Den is open 5 days a week – Sunday through Thursday 9 to 1 – with extended holiday hours during Advent and Lent.  Please see the Store Information Page for directions.

We look forward to your visit.
