Campus Development Background and Presentation
Dear Parishioners:
Please click here to view an important letter from our vestry regarding a special parish meeting scheduled for Sunday, June 10, 2007 to approve an option to sell a parcel of our campus property.
The letter describes exploratory talks between St. Mark's Church and Waveny Care Center Network, Inc., whereby Waveny would purchase land between our main facility and its New Canaan Inn to address elder housing and related services.
Our vestry is very excited by this unique opportunity to serve our larger community while strengthening our parish finances for future mission.
The letter also announces dates for informal discussion prior to June 10. The first meeting takes place at 9:00 this Sunday, May 20. I hope you can join us, participate in our parish family conversation, and help us strengthen our resources for vibrant ministry for generations to come.
