“Sister Joan spoke at St. Mark’s in 2008 and we are so excited that she is returning this spring,” said Ms. Moyna. “She will be coming to us following a sold out show at the National Cathedral in Washington.” The Lion’s Den carries most of her other books.

Sister Joan is the founder and executive director of Benetvision, a resource and research center for contemporary spirituality. She currently serves as co-chair of the Global Peace Initiative of Women, a partner organization of the UN facilitating a worldwide network of women peace builders. She is a regular blogger for Huffington Post and serves on the International Committee for the Peace Council.

She recently said the best spiritual advice she could give to help people today is this: "Know that God is as present to you here as God will ever be. We must simply seek the God who is already seeking us. Then, we will finally melt into the heart of the God we already know with every fiber of our being."
