On two consecutive Sundays, January 7 and 14, we will welcome Omer Salem, senior Fellow of the Foundation for Religious Diplomacy, New York City, and founder of the Ibn Rushd Institute for Dialogue based in Egypt and the USA. Omer has worked with various faith communities in the USA and the Middle East to consider options for peace in the Holy Land that are based on Biblical and Islamic moral values. He is the author of two books: The Missing Peace: The Role of Religion in the Arab-Israeli Conflict and The Struggle for the Holy Land.

On January 21 and 28, we will watch and discuss The Billboard from Bethlehem, a movie made by a Connecticut local working with Combatants for Peace, an organization of former Israeli and Palestinian fighters who have laid down their weapons to work for peace.

On February 4, we will welcome The Rev. Nicholas Porter, founder of Jerusalem Peacebuilders, as the teacher

and preacher for the day.
