These are complicated times for the world in general, but we as a parish have a common faith in something and Someone bigger than any man-made problem or solution. By our faith, we have a choice: instead of staying hunkered down in the boat of fear and doubt, we can, like Peter, take a brave step toward a deeper faith and trust in Jesus.
Our parish is thriving in many ways. New families are joining, exciting new ministries like “Hands and Feet” are helping us reach out beyond our own walls, and ever expanding educational opportunities are bringing us together in collegial conversation. St. Mark’s is a dynamic community, and we are growing, moving forward, innovating and improving. Of course, there are challenges, not the least of which is funding the programs and people that enable us to go beyond ourselves; to move from the status quo of “keeping the lights on” to a vision of “imagine the possibilities”. We can go there, together, if we all commit to take bold steps.
Your generous and timely pledge empowers the St. Mark’s community to plan for our future together. Be assured, each and every pledge is important and received with gratitude.
We are asking you to make your pledge commitment today. Don’t hesitate; fear not. Together we can make this happen. It’s time to walk on water.
With our thanks,
Lynn Donahue Eric Thunem
